Strawberry Acai Smoothie

If you want something full of fruity berry goodness, the acai smoothie is SO your smoothie. If your looking for something on the more citrusy side with sweet flavors you’re looking at the orange/yellow Citrus Sunrise smoothie with a hint of vanilla.

Power-Food-Fruit-Smoothies-2-Ways-9Ingredients: MAKES 2 SMOOTHIES

1/2 red beet (1 small), peeled and roughly chopped (or grated if you have a weak blender)
1 cup frozen (or fresh) strawberries
1/2 cup frozen (or fresh) raspberries
1 ripe fresh (or frozen) banana
1 teaspoon acai berry powder*
1 teaspoon vanilla
pinch of salt
1 cup milk of choice (I use coconut, almond or goat milk)
1/2 cup plain Greek yogurt (use coconut yogurt if vegan)
1 tablespoon dried goji berries (optional)

Citrus Sunrise Smoothie

Ingredients: MAKES 2 SMOOTHIES

1/2 raw yellow beet (or 1 small), peeled and roughly chopped (or grated if you have a weak blender)
1 orange, rind removed (I used a cara cara orange)
1 fresh or frozen banana
1/2 cup fresh or frozen mango chunks
2 pitted medjool dates or 2 tablespoons honey
1 inch knob of fresh ginger, peeled + grated
1 teaspoon chia seeds
1 teaspoon bee pollen (optional)
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup milk of choice (I use coconut, almond or goat milk)
1/2 cup plain greek yogurt (use coconut yogurt if vegan)
1 tablespoon dried goji berries (optional)
